The project

Generating knowledge for inclusive economic recovery

This project drives the transformation of micro-enterprises led by vulnerable populations in Latin America. It does so through applied research, practical tools, and dissemination spaces that allow for the scaling of innovative solutions arising from the Business Schools for Micro-enterprises model.

Lines of action

Research:
A disruptive model with empirical evidence

Applied research on business support models for vulnerable groups, based on the real-world experience of the Business Schools for Micro-enterprises.

Knowledge products: Practical tools for action

Guides, measurement models, circular economy proposals, and educational manuals with an ESG focus for business strengthening.

Dissemination: Knowledge that is shared and scaled

Events in Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, and Spain, and a specialized course for Spanish Cooperation actors and their partners.

The Social Innovation Laboratory

A collective space to transform development

The Social Innovation Laboratory is a collaborative initiative that promotes solutions for businesses led by vulnerable populations. It arises from the alliance between Fundación del Valle, ACTEC, and local partners in Guatemala, Colombia, and El Salvador, and coordinates NGOs, governments, universities, and companies.

This co-creation space seeks to innovate micro-enterprise support strategies, integrating sustainability, impact measurement, and inclusion principles into every solution.

Transversal commitments

Transforming without leaving anyone behind

The laboratory actively incorporates gender equality, respect for cultural diversity, and environmental sustainability. Everything that is researched, designed, and shared serves a single purpose:

To generate useful knowledge from the voices of those who undertake business in adverse conditions.
