Mush Burger is a company dedicated to making artisanal burgers, with vertical integration for certain inputs.
I started with the idea of selling food because my younger sister had received the news that she had cancer. We were at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, and it was a challenge to keep everything afloat. I thought: we have always been a family that enjoys cooking, not with any culinary degree, but rather with the experience passed down through previous generations.
That is why Mush Burgers began in 2020. We took advantage of the moment, but then I found myself facing the task of putting our finances and processes in order, and that it was time to grow.
I came to MBA ACELERA with high expectations, but without knowing how challenging it would be to tighten the screws.
In MBA 1, Mush Burger went from being a company that offered only one type of burger to having a complete and varied menu, pricing its product more accurately, and truly realizing that our differentiator was the bread we made every day.
In MBA 2, Mush Burger gave rise to a sister company, Mush Bread {now Mush Bakery}. We were no longer selling only burgers; we also began making bread for restaurants and end consumers.
And then, still in MBA 2, we got the opportunity to start doing corporate events, family gatherings, birthdays, etc.
We never imagined that something so small would diversify and scale so much, if it were not for the knowledge taught in MBA ACELERA.
