Launch of MBA Acelera in Bogotá: a commitment to business transformation with purpose

With an attendance of more than 100 people from the business, academic, and international cooperation sectors, the launch event of MBA Acelera in Bogotá, Colombia was held, an innovative training initiative promoted by the Fundación Grupo Social in alliance with the Belgian NGO ACTEC.

The meeting, held at the Fundación Grupo Social headquarters in Bogotá, marked the official start of a program that seeks to strengthen the management, strategic, and leadership skills of micro and small entrepreneurs in Bogotá and the Sabana, providing them with practical tools to learn, transform, and lead with purpose.

A transformative movement from the business world

The event was opened by Ariamna Molinares, Vice President of Institutional Relations of the Fundación Grupo Social, who welcomed the attendees and highlighted the organization’s commitment to training as a driver of social change:

“We believe in training that transforms lives, generates real impact, and builds the country from the business base,” she noted.

The Fundación Grupo Social, with more than 110 years of history, is a non-profit entity dedicated to generating socio-economic development opportunities with a focus on solidarity. Its purpose aligns naturally with the approach of MBA Acelera and with the work that ACTEC has been promoting in Latin America.

Inspire to transform

One of the most moving moments of the day was the intervention of Daniel Turiel, founder of MBA Acelera and Director of ACTEC, who encouraged entrepreneurs to believe in their transformative potential:

“Dream, and you will fall short”, he stated, using the metaphor of diamonds to illustrate the hidden value that every entrepreneur carries within.

Next, Daniel Camilo Amaya, coordinator of MBA Acelera at the Fundación Grupo Social, presented the focus and scope of the program. He explained that the call for applications has been very well received, and that the list of selected participants will be announced on July 25.

The program lasts nine months and seeks to generate concrete results in leadership, business management, and business scaling with a sustainable vision.

Leadership with purpose

The day also featured a keynote lecture by Jorge Iván Gómez, professor at INALDE Business School, who shared fundamental keys on conscious leadership and transcendent purpose:

“To achieve dreams, clear objectives, commitment, and a deep connection with the meaning of what we do are needed,” he concluded.

The event ended with a networking session among entrepreneurs, trainers, and institutional representatives, where experiences, interests, and visions for the future of the program were shared. The message that remained with all those present was clear: We transform the being to transform the doing.
